Houston, TX—Mathew Knowles, Ph.D., Beyoncé’s dad, will be in the Bayou City to discuss his new book Emancipation of Slavery Through Music in honor of Juneteenth, and Black Music Month on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, starting at 5 p.m. Central Time. In addition, as an in-studio guest, he will discuss his new opus with Marion “OMG” Gathe and the All About You with OMG & Friends Radio Show team at The Bridge of Light Radio Network, 6260 Westpark Drive, Suite 300A.

Dr. Knowles will be our special guest this coming Wednesday. He is a respected author. Also, a professor, lecturer, public speaker, entrepreneur, music executive, artist manager, and founder of Music World Entertainment (MWE) are a few accomplishments in his arsenal that sum up his career. Based in Houston, MWE is one of the world’s leading music and entertainment conglomerates, with record sales exceeding 450 million worldwide. A few artists he has worked with include Chaka Khan, Earth Wind & Fire, The O ’Jays, Destiny’s Child, Solange, Beyoncé, and more.

He garnered countless awards throughout his career in business, the music industry, and community partnerships. He won an MTV Video Music Award, the recipient of the Century Award of Excellence (1911-2011) from the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and he also received the 2011 Living Legends Foundation Award. In addition, he was named the “2007 International Executive of the Year” by the Greater Houston Partnership. He was honored by the City of Houston with the declaration of “Mathew Knowles Day.” In 2018, he served as a guest judge on the Idols South Africa.

Dr. Knowles is a 1974 graduate of Fisk University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. In addition, his alma mater bestowed him with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at their 2008 commencement ceremony.

Since December 2014, The All About You with OMG & Friends Radio Show has been stirring its live global and local audiences with stimulating conversations about love and relationships, politics, conspiracy theories, current events, social issues, and health and wellness with passion by way of Edutainment. We discuss everything; nothing is off the table. “We entertain and educate because our listeners demand it,” said OMG, the show’s illustrious host, and founder.
